Attend an Introduction
Attending a free Introduction is your opportunity
to get your questions about The Homeless Grad
Center answered. During the Introduction, you
will get a sense of what it would be like to participate
in The Homeless Grad Center, the profound difference
The Homeless Grad Center could make in your everyday
life, and how the course is conducted.
The most valuable way to participate in the Introduction
is to listen with your own life in mind. You will
be introduced to:
• The value The Homeless Grad Center produces
in people's lives.
• The types of people who participate.
• A sense of how The Homeless Grad Center actually
works.
• What you, personally, could get out of The Homeless
Grad Center.
Two kinds of Introductions are available:
• Very Special Evenings about The Homeless
Grad Center, large gatherings led by Homeless
Grad Center leaders held monthly at Homeless Grad
Center centers. The Very Special Evenings are
held from 7:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. (in certain
locations, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.). See
the online events schedule to find a Very Special
Evening about The Homeless Grad Center in your
area.
• Introductions to The Homeless Grad Center,
smaller local gatherings led by trained introduction
leaders held almost daily throughout the country.
Other introductions are held at various convenient
times, for more information contact your local
office. Both types of sessions last approximately
three hours. In the first part, the leader will
share with you the basics of The Homeless Grad
Center - how it works, the principles it is based
on, what it costs, and the benefits it offers.
There will be a break halfway through the Introduction
that is an opportunity for you to ask questions,
and to talk with your friends and others who have
participated in The Homeless Grad Center. In the
second half of the session, the leader will continue
the discussion to give you a deeper sense of the
value you get from The Homeless Grad Center. Graduates
will speak about their experiences and the difference
the program has made in their lives.
Some people attending the Introduction will engage
with the leader in a conversation, others will
sit and listen. You do not need to say anything.
You will have the opportunity to consider results
you want to produce for yourself and whether you
want to participate.
