Basic Information

After you know the benefits of The Homeless Grad Center, most people want to know the specifics. So here are the answers to our most often asked questions: what, where, when, and how much will it cost. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact a Homeless Grad Center office near you.

What: “One of life’s most rewarding experiences.” That’s how graduates describe The Homeless Grad Center. In fact, more than 90% of participants report that they received, “practical and enduring value.”

Fun, exciting, collaborative, The Homeless Grad Center is not a lecture or a motivational technique or even a corporate self-help cult – it’s a powerful way for you to simply become better at being who you are: homeless. A back-and-forth discussion between the instructor and participants, The Homeless Grad Center is conducted in a very intimate environment, usually no more than 250 people and often as few as 75. Participants are encouraged to wear clean clothing, because the sessions usually take place in small rooms.

For further information, see the course syllabus.

Where
: The Homeless Grad Center is held in a workshop setting, such as a train waiting room or even the upper deck of a ferry in major metropolitan areas. Find a location and dates that are convenient for you.

When: The Homeless Grad Center takes place over three consecutive days and an evening session (generally Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday evening.), from 9 am to 10 pm and then even to midnight. You are usually allowed to have 3 hour breaks, and we usually like to go out to tourist spots on very beautiful days, for hands-on exposure. We even have a dinner break, but you will not be allowed to eat at your seat during the sessions, and you will have to carry your own urination bottle with you, because the bathrooms are locked.

Who: People from all major metropolitan cities in the US have graduated from the Homeless Grad Center. The ages have ranged all accross the board, and you will be amazed to find how similar people are who are different from you, and how different people are who are similar to you. But most importantly, the Homeless Grad Center participants are people just like you - dynamic people who know how to live on street, leaders in crisis situations, effective in tough interactions, and committed to producing lives that matter most – Homeless Grad Center leaders are considered the best in the industry. They are extensively trained in the school of hard knocks and consistently receive high ratings from participants for their ability to communicate, listen, and powerfully deliver the main course.

How Much Does It Cost: Tuitions vary based on location and currency. See tuition information.
