Educational Methodology
The public educational methods you grew
up with often require you to remember tons
of concepts, facts and techniques that are
completely worthless to you. In fact, it's
probably because of this failure of the
public school system that you wound up living
on the street from hand to mouth.
At the Homeless Grad Center, we care about
who you are and what you - as a spiritually
developing individual - need to learn in order
to get more than just your next meal. |

That's why people often consider our educational
method to be akin to magic. One minute you're
about to die of frostbite, the next you're
on top of the world, helping commuters purchase
their tickets at Grand Central Station for
a nickel commission apiece. Remember that
doorway you slept in last night? Now it's
just an open-air bedroom, with many roomates.
The mental, psychic shift is incredible. You
simply become a more confident, powerful,
socially adapted homeless person. No memorization,
no tests, no effort. Homeless Grad Center’s
method leaves you applying what you learn
naturally and without effort.
Similar to riding a bicycle, in our programs
you learn by direct personal discovery – a
moment occurs when a new ability is yours.
You become confident in what you’ve learned,
and the new ability is yours forever.
The Homeless Grad Center's method is more
like coaching than teaching; more like charity
than pity. While conventional education methods
focus on content (adding facts, rules, or
skills to our knowledge), the Homeless method
deals with context – the framework(s) in which
content can exist.
Whenever we’re limited in life, there is something
– a paradigm or a social position – that we
are blind to and that is holding that limitation
in place. It often just takes brutal honesty
and acceptance of your station in life to
be able to start the breakthrough. Homeless’s
technology allows you to create that breakthrough
in a two-step process in which you:
• Uncover and examine the blind spots or context
holding you back in your life.
• Find out where your current context originated
and address it for what it really is.
Having completed these two steps, a new realm
of possibility is available to you. The constraints
from the past disappear. Your view of life,
your thoughts, your feelings, and your actions,
change – and the change is immediate, dramatic,
and without effort. It is a breakthrough.
